Two new one-way streets at Humansdorp

2017-02-09 06:02

ROAD-users are advised to look out for two new one-way streets at Humansdorp.

Kouga Executive Mayor Elza van Lingen said portions of Bureau Street and Piet Uys Street have been converted into one-way streets so as to improve the traffic flow and improve the safety of pedestrians.

She said Bureau Street was now open to one-way traffic only from Church Street to Alexander Street, past the offices of the Department of Home Affairs and the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA).

Piet Uys Street is open to one-way traffic only from Voortrekker Road to Du Plessis Street, past Stulting Primary.

Notice of the intended conversion was advertised in September last year following a resolution by the Kouga Council on July 1, 2016 that portions of both roads be turned into one-ways.
