DONATE – whether it is a blanket or a jersey – and help spread some much-needed warmth this winter.

The Jeffreys Bay Fish and Bread Ministries recently embarked on their first Blanket Drive – helping those who need it the most.

The Jeffreys Bay Fish and Bread Ministries, launched in June 2019, is a non-profit organisation that provides warm food to almost 100 homeless and less-fortunate residents every Tuesday.

“The need is real,” says Dewald van Staden from Fish and Bread Ministries. “In the winter months, there are so many residents – young and old – who are in desperate need of blankets to keep themselves protected against the harsh elements and warm du-ring cold spells.

“Together, we can make a ‘warm’ difference.”

Anyone can make a donation: a gently-used or new blanket, a sleeping bag, beanies, gloves, scarves, a jacket and anything that can keep the cold out this winter.

“We would like to encourage the people throughout Kouga to donate much-needed warm goods and non-perishable food for the needy,” says Van Staden.

Donations can be dropped off at Smhart Security’s office situated at 4 Disa Road in Jeffreys Bay. All donations will be distri-buted among the needy.

For more information, contact Van Staden at 071 295 3044.
