2016 PCH highlights

• EIGHT children and two staff members participated in the Cancer Relay for Life.

• One youth representative attended the National Youth Conference in Cape Town in July 2015.

• One special needs child represented H.S. Ebrahim School in a choir competition in Durban.

• At a statue race, hosted by Scottsville Mall, a team of six PCH children were invited to participate, and won first place and R5 000.

• Three children are currently in their fourth year at Newton Pre-vocational School.

• The PCH developmental programme offers 24-hour physical care, access to appropriate schooling and education, family reunification and reintegration within the shortest possible time, assistance with disengaging from the programme, promotion of children’s rights, and mastering age appropriate tasks.

• The PCH therapeutic programme provides developmental assessment of children, individual counselling of children, and referrals to specialised services, family meetings, dealing with the needs of the child.

• PCH children attend Overcomers and CRC churches. Juniors attend Sunday School at the AFM church. Judah Christian Church has spent quality time with the children, and have done Bible quizzes with them and motivational talks. - Supplied.
