NONDUMISO Ndlovu from Imbali Township in Pietermaritzburg is one of Isebandla Young Professionals Empowerment (YPE) Bursary beneficiaries.

She was awarded by the Isebandla YPE for passing her international CIPS Supply Chain Management exams with five distinctions for a Certificate in Procurement & Supply Operations and for receiving four merits for the advanced certificate through The Supply Chain Academy of South Africa-SCASA, the only institution in KZN offering CIPS accredited qualifications leading to the MCIPS Professional Licence.

Ndlovu is now working for SPAR in Pieterrmaritzburg while studying towards her procurement and supply diploma, which will be followed by an advanced diploma in 2018 and finally a professional diploma in 2019 leading to a MCIPS Professional Licence.

She will be the first young person to be awarded the MCIPS recognition on completion, having enrolled for the international CIPS professional qualifications straight from matric, and the first pupil in Pietermaritzburg to be awarded this global professional qualification and professional licence.

She will also be first in KZN, and perhaps even beyond, to have achieved this.

“This young lady is going to go very far in her supply chain management career with the kind of diligence and attitude that she has,” says a YPE benefactor, Truman Hadebe.

Another supporter of the organisation, Mzwandile Zulu said: “She is one of the very few pupils who always strives for excellence in her school work and special projects, she deserves the award.”

YPE thanked Zulu and Hadebe for their support and commitment to groom youths from Isebandla YPE.

Thanks were extended to The Supply Chain Academy SA and Isebandla YPE Team for their support in various ways.

The organisation thanks CIPS SA Trust for their support by providing bursaries to young people who initially and virtually had no hope of obtaining a tertiary education.
