A joke of presidential proportions

2015-10-21 06:00

IT is said that guests forked out anything between R100 000 (for the cheap seats) to R1 500 000 (for the richer elite) just for dinner with Jacob Zuma and his fourth wife on the eve of the ANC National General Council. Before entering guests went through a tight security checkpoint before being ushered to their seats. In contrast the ANC paid a schizophrenic fake sign language interpreter at Madiba’s memorial service.

Thamsanqa Jantjie stood inches away from the world’s most powerful leaders. At that stage he was the apparent interpreter of choice at ANC events. Does this not say a lot about the ANC as an organisation?
