Matrics, celebrate wisely

2015-11-04 06:00

IT is that time of year again when the matrics are a little overzealous and a bit of madness seems to envelope them.

While we understand that they are children and the start of finals triggers some kind of need to go berserk suddenly, may you please take note that it is not the end yet!.

Your celebrations should be held after your final results have been released, in a dignified manner.

While you think it may be fun to engage in egg-throwing, etc., please be mindful that with social media your face could be plastered all over networks in a negative light. Potential employers will be scrutinising the goings-on. In addition, you are still a pupil and under the supervision of the Department of Education and your school.

You do not want to forfeit all that you have worked so hard for in the name of what you deem is tradition or fun.
