Officer’s act of kindness a blessing

2015-10-14 06:00

WELL done Constable Laeeq Engelbrecht, from Kraaifontein for sharing your lunch with an elderly lady. You seem to have a burden for this issue and have set out to make a difference, as the elderly and infirm are often overlooked.

Thank you for this act of kindness, despite the difficult lot of a South African Police officer.

“The righteous considers the cause of the poor.” (Proverbs 29:7).

Breaking bread with a homeless elderly lady is a blessing.

The Word of God tells us over and over that God uses angels to bring His comfort. I believe He used you to bring relief to this elderly lady.

It’s no secret that Jesus cares greatly for those who struggle. In Matthew 25, He suggests that followers of Christ show a readiness for the Lord’s return by helping the hungry to get food, helping the thirsty to get a drink, helping the homeless to find a home, helping the naked to get clothes and helping the sick or imprisoned to receive comfort (vv. 35-36). When God guides you, He provides for you.

You are an example to us, continue to make a difference.
