Save-Orion race next month

THE Save-Orion Athletic Club’s annual race takes place on Sunday 8 November at 5.30am and starts and finishes at Save Hyper in 362 Victoria Road.

Prize money totalling R84 000 is on offer. First, second and third place in the 21km event will take away R15 000, R5 000 and R2 500 respectively for both male and female, while the 10km winners will take away R5 000, R2 500 and R1 000 respectively. There is also a prize money for walkers.

Entry for the 10km event is R80 and the 21km is R110. Temporary licences are available.

Branded quality T-shirts and goodie bags will be given to the first 1 500 entries to be collected on Saturday 7 November.

Athletes are urged to enter online and avoid the last-minute rush until 31 October.

Late entries will still be taken on Saturday, 7 November at Save Hyper and on the morning of the race.
