‘Treasure chest’ helps the needy

2015-04-29 09:23

HIDDEN Treasure, an NPO charity shop in Southgate Centre, will soon move to bigger premises in the centre.

Hidden Treasure sells children, men and women’s clothing, kitchen essentials, books and curtains.

The new shop will enable Hidden Treasure, because of the additional space, to sell furniture.

All profit generated from the shop will assist orphans and child-headed families in the Edendale and Donnybrook areas.

Hidden Treasure’s Carol MacCallum said that the new shop will open on 4 May at 8:15am for 8:30am.

“The Pietermaritzburg shop has been running for seven years. Hidden Treasure has 14 shops across the country.

“The space we are occupying at the moment has gotten too small and we need bigger premises. We would appreciate any donations to help people in need,” said MacCallum.

“We strongly believe that charity begins at home. Charity begins in homes of people who donate to us.

“Their kindness helps us to help the orphans and people in need.”

For any further information on how to donate to Hidden Treasure, contact MacCallum on 082 879 0835 or email maccallum.carol@yahoo. com
