RIVER of Life Christian Ministries (ROLCM) celebrates its 25th anniversary this week.

The local church, which is situated in Eastwood, Pietermaritzburg, opened its doors on October 2, 1994.

Founding elders Thamo and Mirolyn Naidoo were called to plant a congregation in Pietermaritzburg after pastoring a church in Greytown for seven years.

In its formative stages, the church faced many challenges and, with a congregation of fewer than 30 people, launched ROLCM in an industrial-style building at 5 Coventry Place, Eastwood.

“At a very early stage in the life of this ministry, it became evidently clear that the establishment of ROLCM was to facilitate the birthing of a reformational message that was to go to the ends of the earth,” said Thamo Naidoo.

This soon rang true as various national and international forums; such as the Apostolic Schools of Ministry (ASOM), Perspectives on the Apostolic (POA), seminars, leadership conferences and diverse dialogical forums; hosted by the church led national and international leaders to pursue these platforms, which were a significant resource to the church.
