FRESH from being the supporting act for musician Ben Harper in Cape Town, renowned percussionist Nish Pillay is set to host his first musical extravaganza in an intimate affair that is not to be missed at the Dive Theatre titled Songs From The Longest Night, at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Pietermaritzburg on June 21.

Featuring acts from across South Africa, Nish has promised some of the finest musicians who he says will whole-heartedly deliver their songs and skills that they have developed over many years of performing in the music industry.

“The event will take place at the Dive Theatre and will make for a great experience for music lovers as they can expect a cozy and spectacular venue to spend a winter night at,” said Nish.

The evening will consist of four acts with Nish featuring with two acts. Pietermaritzburg music lovers can expect a mix of the ancient Indian drum played by Nish along with the Capetonian Dave Starke set to entertain with nothing else but his voice and folk artist Clayton Human, the soulful Tatum Holder and piano vocal duo St John and Tanya.

Tickets can be purchased through booking via hexagon@ukzn.ac.za or at the door. Seating is limited so be sure to pre-book to avoid disappointment.
