THE leading private physical rehabilitation and sub-acute hospital in the KZN Midlands, Royal Hospital (RH) in Pietermaritzburg recently entertained a special guest – former Health MEC and well-known politician Dr Zweli Mkhize.

Mkhize toured RH’s state of the art facilities, while meeting a few patients.

He also engaged with and praised the work of staff members at the facility, which successfully bridges the gap between acute, sub-acute, physical rehabilitation and home care.

Established last year, the vision of RH is to accommodate the needs of patients who do not essentially need the conventional in-patient treatment offered at an acute hospital. - Supplied
