BELIEVING that all great things begin with small steps, Denise Carolus opened the doors of Pitter Patter Preschool on July 9, 2019 for admissions in 2020.

Highlighting the role of a parent in the phase of a child’s life, Carolus said that teacher involvement is also a crucial part of a child’s life.

“A child’s life is like a piece of paper on which every person leaves a mark therefore it is important and crucial when it comes to who is teaching your child,” said Carolus adding that her classroom encourages independent and group work while also catering for specific age groups with specifically designed classrooms.

Carolus said that Pitter Patter offered various educational programmes such as:

Nature experiments, observations of the natural and social world to encourage curiosity

Outdoor discovery times for classroom learning

We will cater for age appropriate books to read aloud and for the children to engage with books individually

Children can develop their writing skills with paint brushes, crayons, pencils, arts and crafts

Fine motor skills where children would manipulate small objects their hands, playdough, lacing, to colouring large and small objects

The theory and practice of real live musical instruments will be taught by an accomplished musician

There will be indoor and outdoor play for physical health, mental well being, cognitive and social development

We will be offering dual languages, English and Zulu.

“We encourage fantasy play for children’s imagination. English would be the standard language that will be taught for teaching instructions,” said Carolus.

The school fee structure is affordable. To book an appointment to visit Pitter Patter Preschool please contact 071 139 6526.

Pitter Patter Preschool is situated on 388 Boom Street with a safe and secure environment on the premises for the children.
