AFRO pop artist Nkosingiphile Zondo from KwaPata has released another single, titled Istimela, on Saturday.

Zondo, who is known as “KingN” in the music industry, said Istimela is a love song that is dedicated to those who are in long distance relationships and those who are willing to pay lobola for their loved one.

“With this song I am trying to remind people that love is important. I also want to remind men that they must not live with their girlfriends without marrying. If you love someone, you need to do things the right way,” he said.

Zondo started his music career in 2003 and growing up he listened to different genres, especially opera and jazz.

“I am a versatile vocalist. I have learned a lot of things from different deejays and artists but my favourite was Luciano Pavarotti.”

Zondo said he plans on launching the song but he will announce all the details in due time. He also revealed that he wants to release an album, but he wants to focus on promoting this single first.

“I have an album ready but I will start by realising singles and see how people are receiving them before I drop a full album. If I get a positive response then definitely I will drop my album very soon,” he said.

Zondo said his plans are to take his music to another level and come back with experience and knowledge which he will plow back to his community. He said one day he would like to collaborate with musicians Sjava and Kwesta.
