An opportunity to study in India

2018-01-10 06:00

DO you want to study, but don’t have the funds?

The Consulate General of India in Durban is once again offering an opportunity to study in India.

South African nationals can apply, but only for the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarships for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various disciplines for the 2018-2019 academic year.

The scholarship includes travel to and from India, tuition fees, accommodation and a living allowance.

This year the ICCR has developed a new scholarship portal named A2A (Admission to Alumni) for expeditious time-bound transparent and an accountable method of admissions as well as keeping track of academic progress of a student and financial management. The portal also has information available for students.

Interested students can upload their applications in the ICCR portal with supporting documents. There are 52 slots available for South Africa students.

All applications are to be submitted online at www.a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in

For those who don’t have Internet access to apply, free access to the Internet is available at the main library in Church Street.

The closing date for application is January 19.
