“I FEEL like this is the real start of my career.”

These are the words of the excited Imbali artist, Nkosing’phile Zondo, who has been nominated at the Live Your Dream Youth SA Awards 2019.

Zondo, who is known as KingN on stage, is nominated for Best Upcoming Artist.

The awards will be held at Durban ICC on November 30.

Speaking to Echo, he said he was so excited when he received the news that he was chosen as one of the nominees.

“I am urging everyone to please vote for me. This award is not only for me, but it is for the whole city of Pietermaritzburg. If we can bring this award home our city will be put on the map.

“It will also encourage other young upcoming artists who wish to fulfil their dreams not to give up,” he said.

Zondo said he started singing in 2006 in a school choir. In 2010 he decided to start singing solo and he started doing house music.

“People loved my music and I will forever be grateful to them because it is because of them that today I am nominated for awards.”

In 2017, Zondo switched from doing house music and he started doing pop music, which he is currently doing.

He said he plans to deliver great music that will encourage people to excel.

“We are living in difficult times where some people face drug problems, and women and child abuse. I guarantee that people can learn certain things through my music. I have a message to pass on.”

Zondo recently released his single titled Thando kwenzenjani which is available on all digital platforms.

To vote for him SMS LYD895 to 45633. You can vote as many times as you want. Voting lines close at midnight on November 29.
