IMBALI Unit 13 hip-hop artist Lindelani Zwane says he wants to use his music to inspire the youth and spread positivity.

Zwane said he began his music career in 1999 and has worked with great artists such as the late Mandoza. Soon after that, music became his greatest passion.

“I used to sing for people just to entertain them in my home town, but I noticed that they love my music and they would ask me to perform for them more often,” said Zwane when he spoke to Echo this week.

“I then decided to take music seriously and I have developed an ever-growing love for it.”

Zwane said he grew up listening to a lot of hip-hop music but never thought that one day he would become a hip hop artist.

He said his music is not only about entertaining people, but also about spreading a message of positivity among youth.

“I sing about things that affect our communities daily; things that affect us but we don’t speak about it. At the same time I want people to enjoy music.”

Zwane said he is busy working on his album, which he plans on releasing soon.

He said his future plans are to have a studio and help youth grow their music talents.
