The KZN Museum is definitely the place to visit this end of term break. The museum has ensured two weeks of fun activities to make sure no one will be bored during the holiday.

From March 18 to March 22, the Museum will be hosting a free Book Swap from 10am to 2pm each day. In celebration of Library Week, the public is invited to visit the Museum to pick up a book or two, completely free of charge.

You can also drop off any unwanted books to the museum before or during the event. All books in good condition will be accepted.

Samukelisiwe Ngubane, information officer at the KwaZulu-Natal Museum, is busy trying out different crafts in readiness for the March Holiday Programme.

The programme will run from March 25 to March 29 from 9am to 11am each day. The cost is R25 per day and the activities are suitable for young children between the ages of five and 13 years of age.

Activities include fun interactive sessions about bees and mosquitoes, including craft activities; learning about flightless birds and making a chicken pom-pom; Easter craft activities and rock art painting.

Booking is essential as space is limited. Contact Nozipho Mathonsi at 033 345 1404 or send an e-mail to switchboard@nmsa.org.za to make your booking.
