Attractive and a fuel saver

WHAT struck me the most about the Renault Kwid Climber was the electric blue with the striking orange detail added distinctly with just the right amount of subtlety.

When I saw it, I knew I had to have it. Upon first inspection of the vehicle, one almost feels as if the car has been tastily pimped out by a car enthusiast.

The exterior and interior styling pack with; its orange accents on the roof, side-mirrors and front bumper, piano black facia with orange detailing on the inside (a treatment also applied to the door trims, air vents, gear knob and steering wheel). It was love at first sight.

All these distinct yet subtle features add to its faux-SUV look. Feeling a bit exclusive, what with only 200 units of the Climber edition in South Africa, I drove out of Renault with a smile on my face. The aspirated 1 litre three-cylinder petrol engine as the other variants in the local range, sending 50 kW and 91 N.m to the front wheels gave for a smooth and enjoyable drive back to the office.

For its small self, the Kwid Climber packed quite the punch and picked up speed sufficiently with one not noticing given the smoothness of the drive.

Having been in the possession of the Kwid Climber for over two months now, first hand I can vouch for the car and will stick my neck on the line in stating that this car guarantees value for money and will definitely turn heads wherever you go.
