SABINE Thies, better known as Beani, has once again done her school and country proud after walking away as the winner in the second round of the SA Cup Series and SA Championships last weekend in Lesotho.

Beani, a world-renowned downhill biking champion, has won this competition previously and stated that she was happy to win it again.

“I am super happy to have won the second round of the SA Cup Series as well as the SA Champs, and to have added another win to my name,” she said.

“This is not the first year that Beani has brought home this title and we are very proud of her persistence and this achievement,” said public relations officer for Wartburg Kirchdorf School, Saskia John, who added that Beani has always represented their school with pride and that the school celebrates every victory with her.
