NTABAYABANTU Modelling Agency will host Miss Vulindlela Schools 2019 on March 7 at Gezubuso Hall at 11 am.

This pageant will cater for all the schools in Edendale and Vulindlela, both primary and high schools.

Mbuso Nyandu of Ntabayabantu said they will be selecting the top 10 models that will compete in Miss Midlands Schools 2019 on April 7.

He said they will also choose the top three who will be crowned as Miss Vulindlela Schools and will win prizes as well.

“Twenty-five schools will compete in the pageant. We selected the top 10 finalists in Sweetwaters and surrounding areas in January. We will visit Vulindlela in March where another ten will be selected before we finally branch into the CBD and Imbali to get our last batch of 10 because we want to have 30 girls in the finals,” he said.

Nyandu said he had hosted this pageant previously but stopped as he had other commitments.

“After stopping, I noticed that most of the girls are too scared to enter the big competitions like Miss KZN Tradition because they think they’re not ready. With this competition we want to groom these young women that are still in school so that when they go out there and enter other big pageants they do it with confidence. We also want to keep them out of the streets so that they do not end up doing wrong things ,” he said.
