LOCAL business owner Margaret Webb together with representatives from Bernina RSA will be hosting a fun day in honour of the international celebration of Bernina turning 125 years.

The event will be held at the Maritzburg Bowling Club Balmoral Drive, Alexandra Park on May 18 starting at 8.30 am.

The eventstakes the form of a fun day for all including a lunch, tea and demonstrations/displays of various quilts at the cost of R200.

The Webb’s who took over the business in 2014, after the opportunity arose for Margaret to follow her passion surrounding sewing,

Bernina, which is a Swiss sewing and embroidery machine manufacturer, has been in South Africa for over 70 years and in Pietermaritzburg for over 60 years.

Driven by the passion of Margaret, Bernina has established itself as a leader in the sewing industry internationally and locally, with Margaret hosting an array of informative classes from quilt, embroidery, pattern making and sewing lessons at her premises on 266 Prince Alfred Street.

Bernina PMB offers a comprehensive range of Bernina, Bernette and Nina sewing, embroidery and overlocking machines in a price range to suit all pockets.

Margaret has undergone extensive training on the entire product range and is well versed in all aspects of sewing and embroidery.
