Biker killed in collision

A MAN, believed to be in his 40s, was killed on Sunday morning in an accident between a truck, a motor car and two motorbikes on the N3 near the Lynnfield turnoff outside Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the body of a man lying in the left lane of the highway.

Paramedics assessed the man and found he had sustained a significant head injury and showed no signs of life, and he was declared dead.

The second biker was assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries. He was treated for his injuries and taken to Northdale Provincial Hospital.

The driver of the car and truck escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations. - Supplied.
