ML SULTAN Secondary School was a proud recipient of physical science and biology equipment on Friday, October 12 as South African engineering firm Knight Piésold Consulting selected them to invest in as they embark on their nation-wide corporate social investment project titled “Bokamoso” which means “Their future”.

The Bokamoso project has made significant investments at previous high schools in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo and Western Cape.

Along with the intentions of improving the performance of pupils’ ability in maths and science at these schools, Knight Piésold foresees the initiative as providing a pipeline for future engineers, technologists and scientists both for the company and the South African economy as a whole.

Seen as an investment rather than a sponsorship, Knight Piesold Consulting chose ML Sultan because of the school’s rich history within the region, given that the school was founded in the early 60s and has remained a trade school that offers courses which include mechanics and engineering science.

“Knight Piésold Consulting should be applauded for their efforts in assisting our schools with these outstanding science materials,” said VR Padayachee, principal of ML Sultan Secondary.

“These materials and resources will go a long way in assisting both our staff and students with a better understanding of our science standards.”

Marketing lead Sharlenee Moodley said that Knight Piésold Consulting were committed to making a difference and creating a change throughout South Africa.

“We are encouraging businesses in the community to start collaborating and investing in high schools such as ML Sultan Secondary. “The firm strongly believes that great things in business are never done by one person or one company, they’re done by a team of people and team of great companies, working together to accomplish one goal,” said Moodley.
