THE Voices of Pietermaritzburg (Vop) team, led by Deidre de Wee, raised desperately needed funds by hosting a book and bake sale as well organising a food drive on November 3.

Baked goodies were made at home and supplied by Vop volunteers and local businesses.

“Our volunteers are known as angels of Vop and we are proud to be associated with the Victoria Road Pick n Pay, who has been our partner from day one and is also our drop-off location,” said Michelle Stevens, a member of Vop.

Stevens added that should anyone not be able to make it, they are welcome to e-mail Vop for a grocery list and all of the drop-off locations.

Vop can be contacted via
voicesofpmb@gmail.com or else they can be followed on Facebook and Instagram.

The funds raised at events hosted by the Vop go towards groceries which are donated to the less fortunate and to various charitable initiatives held by the Vop.
