THE second breast cancer awareness talk and breakfast, hosted by the Msunduzi Hospice, will be held at the Hospice Conference Centre on September 21, from 9am until 11am. Tickets are R150 per person and R125 for pensioners.

Tanya Roux from Msunduzi Hospice said the annual event began in October 2016, the aim of which was to raise awareness about breast cancer.

“This event is a platform that allows people to listen and talk with specialists in the field of cancer and make healthy choices regarding their lives.

“There is not enough awareness about breast cancer and cancer in general, and we are trying to raise that awareness.

“This event will also provide an opportunity for the public to get encouragement and motivation from speakers and network with like-minded people.”

Guest speakers include Dr Hasinah Asmal from Hopelands Cancer Centre and Reona Bond, who will share her story of courage and determination after she survived breast cancer twice.

To book, contact Roux on 033 344 1560 or email fundraiser@
