Celebrate every occasion with

PLANNING a large event or special occasion? Foodpak is a one-stop shop for every festive function, from catering and packaging to table décor and lights, with pretty much everything “festive” on offer. A team of dedicated staff is available to help customers who visit the shop or order through the warehouse.

We interviewed Foodpak staff member Jackie Venter to get an inside look at what Foodpak is all about. Jackie’s main role is customer service on the shop floor, but she quite appropriately describes herself as a “jackie-of-all-trades”, as in her quest to assist customers, her role shifts from quickly placing an order to sourcing specialised products that Foodpak may not stock.

She also enjoys offering customers the bulk-buy options available at Foodpak which can often save customers lots of money.

Staff like Jackie, who have a passion for people and customer satisfaction, have helped to build Foodpak’s reputation for excellent customer service and their genuine interest enables them to find the best catering, baking or packaging solution for the customer.

Jackie, who has worked at Foodpak for over seven years, said: “Foodpak is like an old family-style grocer as it has always had a bit of everything and the variety of products on offer makes it a unique shop.”

She is excited by the evolution she has witnessed at Foodpak over the years and most recently the shop’s extension and revamp. “We have had so many compliments from customers, old and new, who are so excited about the shop revamp. They love the space, the open-plan design and the ‘order’ we now have in the shop.”

Jackie says that the shop has also seen an evolution in product range and requirements on offer, with a bigger demand now for eco-friendly products, whether it be recyclable products or the new range of completely bio-degradable plates, straws, cups and cutlery that is made from corn starch.

Foodpak is built on great family values and Jackie says that this is most evident among staff members who consider themselves part of the “Foodpak Family” and who are most grateful for the opportunity and mentorship the late Mrs Pam Zammit and other family members offered them over the years.

The Foodpak family invites members of the public to visit their shop at 157 Victoria Road and to embrace the variety of quality products and bulk-buy options that they have on offer.
