NPC Yaweh Glory Worship Centre (YGWC) will be hosting a Christmas Celebration for all the disadvantaged children of Pietermaritzburg on December 20 in what promises to be a day filled with lots of surprises and excitement.

After leaving their day jobs, pastors Darian and Cherylene Emersleben opened YGWC as a place of sanctuary and refuge for women and children exposed to domestic violence.

“We are a non-profit organisation and the services we provide are free.

“We are a Christian-based organisation but our services are not limited to the Christian faith and will be available to the community at large,” said the Emerslebens.

They said that their Christmas party would be inviting all disadvantaged children throughout PMB so that they can receive food, clothing, toys and a day where they experience the true Christmas spirit which most of them are not privileged enough to experience on Christmas Day itself.

“We will also be picking most of the children up in and around PMB so that they, too, can have a good Christmas,” said Emerslebens.

YGWC is a registered NPC and is requesting any kind of help from the public in ensuring that the children of Pietermaritzburg have a wonderful Christmas Day.

Those willing to donate can contact founder of YGWC Darian at 079 792 4451 or e-mail

The Christmas Celebration will take place at the Hillside Farm Dist Road 205, Ashburton from 10 am to 5 pm.
