THE Msunduzi Hospice Association recently hosted an early Christmas Party for their children patients and the children of their patients.

According to Hospice fundraiser Tanya Roux, the party, food and goodies that the children enjoyed was made possible through the generosity of many people.

“It is so important for children to be able to relax and play.

More so when their lives are filled with uncertainty in the face of a life-limiting or life-threatening illness,” said Roux, adding that this vulnerability extends to those children whose parents and guardians are sick.

“The Christmas Party was an opportunity for children to just be children.

Hospice and the palliative care services provided by Msunduzi Hospice Association help provide children with the necessary coping mechanisms to help them develop resilience in the face of this vulnerability,” said Roux.

In concluding, Roux thanked Deep Blue Advertising, Glostar Trading, Gift of the Givers, Loving Cup Coffee Shop, Blue Note Promotions, KFC, Bearings and Seals, and Doves for contributing towards the early Christmas Party.

“Also, I would like to thank the following individuals for their donations: Pete and Micky Jugmohan, Marge, Neera, Suva, Kersia, Rani and family, Merle, Shalona, Sonya, Amy, Tanya, Suria, and Lynn,” said Roux.
