Church taking social cohesion to the next level

THE House of Christ Church, based in Imbali CC, under the leadership of Pastor Nhlanhla Khambule is taking social cohesion to the next level.

On Saturday, December 1 the church will gather together under one roof religious and traditional leaders and people including Pastors, church elders, traditional leaders, and healers as well as different people from traditional backgrounds and lifestyles.

Themed “Gospel meet Maskandi”, the main aim of the event is to demonstrate that people from different belief systems can together share a lot of information, wisdom and can work together in building the nation.

According to host Pastor Khambule, the idea is part of a broader call to have different sectors of the society coming together to share ideas and ways of tackling our societal challenges, such as social ills and other social injustices, and work together beyond our religion and belief systems.

At the centre of the event are two of the country’s multi-award winning artists; Gospel sensation Dr Tumi and Maskandi maestro Khuzani Mpungose; who will be joined by supporting acts including gospel, indlamu, and Isicathamiya groups.

The night promises to attract hundreds of Maskandi and gospel fanatics under one roof, which is something we rarely see.

This event will be hosted every year with the new theme every year.

Tickets are on sale at Bible Centre and at HOC in Imbali CC at R80. For enquiries contact Ndumiso Nzuza at 061 922 4662.
