VIOLINIST Joanna Frankel will be performing at the Tatham Art Gallery in Chief Albert Luthuli Street on Sunday, September 3 at 3pm.

Previously Concert Master of the KZN Philharmonic, Frankel was recently appointed Concert Master of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra in Ohio, United States.

Frankel is in South Africa to play a short series of concerts with pianist, Christopher Duigan.

Their programme includes the magnificent Sonata for violin and piano by Cesar Franck, Beethoven’s Romance No two and Kreisler’s Loves Joys and Love’s Sorrows, among other beautiful concert pieces.

Café Tatham will be open from 10am and for lunch. Booking for lunch is essential, contact 033 342 8327. The gallery shop will also be open and there is secure parking available.
