DESPITE the cold and wet weather on the day, hundreds of runners made their way to Wadley Stadium for the start of the 12th edition of the Edendale Marathon, hosted by the Comrades Marathon Association.

The PMB & District Community Chest was proud to be associated with this race as a way of giving back to the community and the Comrades Marathon Association for all the support given to Community Chest in many different ways. The Community Chest hosted a refreshment station on Selby Msimang Road with the able help of staff and volunteers.

Congratulations to Mbuleli Mathanga of Phantane AC and Jenet Mbhele of Umzimkhulu AC who won the Men’s and Women’s Races respectively.

Appreciation is expressed to staff and officials of the Comrades Marathon Association for allowing the Community Chest to be a part of yet another successful Edendale Marathon.
