LAMB chop recipes will always be on the top of any South African’s favourite food list. So, don’t be boring — spice up your next lamb chop meal with this delicious marinade that’s suitable for the grill or the braai.

It is simply a matter of mixing it all together and allowing the lamb chops to soak up all the flavour.

You can substitute the oregano for rosemary — it’s your choice.

• 1 Tsp Sunshine D original margarine

• 1/2 Tsp lemon zest

• 2 Tsp lemon juice

• 2 Tsp fresh oregano chopped

• 2 Tsp garlic minced

• 1/2 Tsp salt

• Pinch of pepper

• 8 lamb chops (trimmed of fat)

Melt the Sunshine D original margarine over a low heat and add the lemon zest, lemon juice, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix well. Pour into a sealable container and add the lamb chops. Seal the container and allow to marinate for one hour.

Grill or braai the chops for about four minutes per side (medium-rare).
