Cyclists injured in hit-and-run

2017-05-24 06:02

TWO cyclists were run over on Town Bush Road in Chase Valley on Sunday afternoon.

Netcare 911 and other paramedics responded to the incident.

Reports from the scene indicate that two cyclists, a man and woman, were knocked down from behind by a motorist who did not stop and fled the scene.

The woman sustained serious injuries and the Netcare 911 paramedic needed to administer analgesic medication to reduce her pain.

She was stabilised at the scene before being transported by ambulance to hospital. The man sustained cuts and bruises and accompanied the injured woman to hospital.

The SAPS were also on scene to investigate the incident. - Supplied
