THE PO Academy of Fashion Design is hosting a fashion show on December 1 at the city hall to showcase student graduates’ designs.

The academy’s Pretty Madela said there will be a graduation ceremony at 5pm, then the fashion show at 7pm, which will display unique and creative designs fashioned by the students.

She said some of the designs will be available to buy.

“The people I want to attend the show are matriculants, who are not certain about their academic future next year.

“This is for them so they can see what opportunities are available in the fashion industry.”

She said her academy is ideal for those with funding problems for
tertiary education since her academy offers reasonable tuition fees
for a two-year fashion design diploma.

“I also believe sewing is a skill that every woman should possess, so even full-time, employed people can take advantage of our part-time courses.

“This is why we invite them to the fashion show so they can see what skills and knowledge they
can gain at our academy,” Madela said.

Tickets cost R100 per person from the academy offices at 476
Pietermaritz Street, first floor, suite 17 and 18, or contact Madela on 082 422 7159.
