PIANO lovers and fans of good music are promised a delightful programme of music for four hands on one piano with Mark Nixon and Christopher Duigan at the Tatham Art Gallery on November 3 from 11.30 am.

When performing, the duo recreates some of that magical, idyllic beauty; they play Mozart’s Sonata in C major, Debussy’s evocative Petite Suite and music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Astor Piazzolla.

Nixon is a graduate of the Amsterdam Conservatory, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, the University of Cape Town, and Unisa.

From 2000 to 2002, Nixon was the Anthony Saltmarsh Junior Fellow at the Royal College of Music.

He has performed as concerto soloist with South African orchestras, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and with several orchestras in England.

He has also performed in Holland, France, Greece, China, Italy, the UK, and the U.S. and currently holds the position of Head of Keyboard Studies at the prestigious King’s College School in Wimbledon.

Joining Nixon for the show is Duigan, a Steinway Artist.

Tickets to the music revival are R130 and parking tickets are R80.

To book for the show, e-mail booking@musicrevival.co.za or send a WhatsApp to 083 417 4473.
