THE KwaZulu-Natal Museum hosted a Life Science (Biology) Educator’s Workshop last week.

The workshop aimed to assist educators with difficult topics in Life Science (Grade 12), re-inforce concepts and teaching strategies for evolution and genetics as well as to provide direction on how questions should be addressed and answered to achieve the highest mark.

Greg Gopal, the owner of Exam Fever, publisher of workbooks and study guides for Maths, Life Science and Natural Sciences, sponsored over 1 600 workbooks and study guides to the museum.

The museum distributed over 360 of these packs at the workshop and is in the process of distributing the rest of these packs to disadvantaged schools.

In addition to his generous contribution, Gopal covered the costs of having expert facilitators at the workshop.

The facilitators, who are contributors to Exam Fever publications as well as experienced markers, covered topics like evolution and genetics for grade 12 and common errors in the matric exams on these topics.

The KZN Museum expressed their gratitude to Gopal saying, “We are extremely grateful to Mr Gopal for his interest in the museum and the generosity he has extended to all learners in need.”
