Eight injured as taxi and car collide in CBD

EIGHT people were left injured following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle at the Jabu Ndlovu Street and West Street intersection in the CBD on Monday.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, were dispatched to the incident at 4.50 pm.

Upon arrival, paramedics found the taxi and car in the middle of the intersection. The occupants of both vehicles were found sitting on the pavement nearby.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that eight people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. No serious injuries were found at the scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Grey’s and Northdale provincial hospitals for further care.
