IF you are over the age of 60 then the Padca JLS Mile needs you.

The Padca Mile is now in its fifth year and they are looking to over sixties in the Midlands area to be a part of the morning to make it an even bigger event on the seniors calendar.

Sponsored once again by J Leslie Smith & Company Inc, the morning boasts a load of fun activities and encourages camaraderie amongst the seniors of Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas.

There is no charge for participation and all are welcome.

The day promotes active ageing regardless of physical ability and every effort is made to ensure everyone is included.

In addition to the 7km, 3.5km and 1km walks around Alexandra Park, there is a tea garden, good music and giant garden games all contributing to a great vibe.

This Padca JLS Mile will be held on the Goldstones field, Maritzburg College, Princess Margaret Drive, on May 3. Registration starts at 8am so the walking can begin promptly at 9am.
