ERIC Tinkler feels that Etoile du Sahel were ‘disrespectful’ when they celebrated in front of the Orlando Pirates’ bench on Saturday, but has urged his charges not to take it personal.

The Buccaneers hosted the Tunisians on Saturday at Orlando Stadium where the teams played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup Final and Etoile, who equalised in the dying moments, celebrated their important away goal in front of Pirates’ bench, much to Tinkler’s dismay.

“If they celebrated in front of their own bench I wouldn’t have cared. The fact that they came and did it right in front of our bench I thought it was pretty disrespectful on their part,” Tinkler reacts.

“But there is nothing we can do about that and we need to go there and focus on the job at hand. We must not make it personal, [but rather] play to our strengths and get a result. We must let our football do the talking, that’s what’s important.”

The sides meet again in Tunisia on Sunday night.–KickOff.com
