THE sixth Annual Mum’s Mail PMB Ladies Breakfast, in association with The Sunflower Fund and sponsored by PMB Arch Lifestyle Centre, held at Victoria Country Club recently was a resounding success.

The theme this year was “the Fifties” and the ladies went all out for the dress code.

There was a prize of a complete hair and make-up makeover sponsored by Terry Scott Hairfashion for the best-dressed guest exemplifying the Fifties era.

Guests enjoyed a two-course breakfast and a cappuccino, decadent individual desserts by Château Gâteaux, a B.O.N Natural Oils gift per lady, jam-packed goodie bags, guest speakers, surprise treats and loads of exciting prizes and giveaways. There was also a fun photo booth, a pamper station, a “Fifties make-up” touch up station, and retail therapy pop-up shops.

There were amazing raffle prizes to be won — a pamper package, a travel package and a home and entertainment package, all valued at more than R7 000 each — and the surprise envelopes on sale did not disappoint this year. There was even a secret auction to win a lovely prize that included a six-pack of Château Gâteaux desserts, two movie tickets and two private pilates sessions.

All funds raised from the event will go to The Sunflower Fund and will help to create awareness as well as educate and recruit more blood stem cell donors. This is fundamental in offering hope of life to patients suffering from life-threatening blood diseases, like leukaemia, who are in need of a blood stem cell transplant from an unrelated matching donor.

A big thank you to sponsors for contributing to the success of the fundraiser. — Supplied.
