THE annual Face of KZN Model Search Contest is going to be an epic show filled with a variety of entertainment.

Kwaito artist Mafeja, gospel artist Innora from Zimbabwe, guitarist from UKZN PMB campus Angel Mazibuko, comedian Kheveneza, poet from UKZN PMB campus Xola Ian Mpanza, gospel group Abathokozisi and Red Army Dancers will keep the audience entertained.

The finalists, selected from hundreds of entrants from all over KwaZulu-Natal, will be strutting their stuff in three categories: casual wear, swimwear and formal wear. The finalists will share prize vouchers worth R50 000, proudly sponsored by Bengs Nkosi, 033 Lifestyle, Virgin Active, Cine Centre, 39 Degrees Photography, Durban Skydive Centre, Ice Bizzer and Irene’s Models Agency.

Austin Rethabile Mothapo, known as Noah in SABC 1 soapie Skeem Saam, Siphesihle Vazi from Selimathunzi, 2016 Mr South Africa finalist Sibonelo Zungu, Face of KZN 2016 female winner Carla Van Rensburg and Pulse Models covergirl, road accident survivor Nelisiwe Zuma, Dr Lungile Thembela, a psychologist, and Dr Dan Moodley, a psychiatrist, will be among the VIP guests, who will be rubbing shoulders with the spectators.

The finalists will share their opinions on focus areas which include alcohol and drug abuse, albinism, blessers, teenage pregnancy, violence, racism and xenophobia.

Social cohesion and cultural diversity will be promoted through the contest, which was founded by Bengs Nkosi on January 8, 2010.

The top three winners will have a responsibility to work in their community to promote youth development through motivational talks and skills training for a period of 12 months. They will also be attending social events like SA Fashion Week, Durban July, Samas, Metro FM Awards and Crown Awards, to promote the Face of KZN Model Search Contest brand.

The sixth annual Face of KZN Model Search will held on Saturday, December 1, at the Winston Churchill Theatre on 2 Leinster Road, Scottsville. Tickets are R100 for general and R250 for VIP and can be purchased at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers countrywide.
