Former Orlando Pirates captains tip Bucs to win Nedbank Cup final

2017-06-28 06:02

THE majority of the former Orlando Pirates skippers feel the Bucs will pull it off.

Although some were not sure about
Pirates defence or doubted it, they believe
the Soweto giants will be able to surprise their Pretoria opponents at the Nedbank Cup final.

AmaBhakaBhaka will lock horns with Matsatsantsa a Pitori at Durban’s Moses
Mabhida Stadium, at 8.15pm on Saturday.

The former Pirates no-nonsense-tough-as- a teak defender, Gavin “Stability” Lane said Bucs is likely to win because of the support they enjoy in Durban.

“As always Pirates’ followers will obviously outnumber SuperSport United.”

Another former Bucs captain, Edward “Magents” Motala said United are always a tricky outfit to deal with, but this time it will be a different date.

“It’s very interesting that both teams are from Gauteng, but Durban is Pirates’ home away from home.

“I also expect that to trouble United players mentally.”

Another former Pirates player who
marshalled the middle of the park and
his players with the iron fist, John
Moetie feels the Soweto outfit will have
the upper hand because they need it the most.

“Pirates will go all out and win it because they desperately need to make their supporters happy.”
