POLICE are still looking for four men who robbed Molly’s Fruit and Vegetables on the old Greytown Road last Friday evening.

Mountain Rise Police spokesperson Captain Gay Ebrahim confirmed the incident and said the police are investigating a case of a business robbery.

“It is alleged that four men entered the shop at around 6.30 pm and held the store manager at gun point and ordered the staff to lie on the ground. The suspects then went behind the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot,” said Ebrahim.

Ebrahim advised business owners and the community to be vigilant.

“Businesses are requested to make cash deposits during the day and not keep the day’s takings in the store.

“They should also employ the assistance of a private security company.”

She added that with the robberies that have occurred in the northern areas, the SAPS have increased visibility and patrols in the area, especially during peak periods.

Police have also deployed members to conduct foot patrol in the area.
