THE Cansa Relay For Life (RFL) 2018 takes place on March 10 and 11, at Carbineers in Pietermaritzburg from 2 pm to 2 am.
The Cansa Relay for Life is an impactful team experience and usually taking place overnight, which mobilises cancer survivors and the community to stand together in the fight against cancer. It’s also an opportunity to remember loved ones who have died from cancer and to raise funds for the fight against cancer.
There are various costs incurred with such an event, such as security, sound, entertainment and the Survivor dinner, where about 150 cancer survivors get together and are treated to a dinner on the night of the relay. The Cansa RFL committee, as well as the participating teams, all partake in fundraising initiatives in order to raise as much money as possible to cover the costs of the relay and also to ensure that monies go back to Cansa to support its community and research commitments.
As part of our fundraising efforts, the committee is hosting a Valentine Dance, with a finger supper. Details as followers:
