The route plan is: the walk will begin at approximately 2 pm at Freedom Square (next to the central taxi rank in Church Street). En route to the station the procession will stop at the Gandhi statue to pay homage to Gandhi.

At the railway station various diverse cultural items will be staged on the platform.

Parking and/or drop-off points:

Participants are encouraged to be dropped off at Freedom Square at 1 pm.

Drivers should then park their vehicles at the railway station. A shuttle bus service will be available to take drivers back to Freedom Square.

Parents and community leaders are advised to encourage the youth to get involved in such celebrations to preserve our history by honouring our liberation struggle heroes such as Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Harry Gwala, Albert Luthuli, and others.

Participants and supporters are at the event entirely at their own risk. — Supplied.
