Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School Grade 11 pupils (from left) Amahle Zuma, Ellezaé Moosa, Zibusiso Mchunu and Sumayya Essack (not pictured) claimed first place in the General Knowledge Quiz hosted at Clifton College and sponsored by Delloite. Schools, both from Pietermaritzburg and Durban, were invited to participate. The GHS pupils general knowledge, team work and critical thinking skills were put to the test throughout the quiz. The seven rounds of the competition consisted of different topics including music, current affairs and about South Africa.The teams, consisting of four members each, answered some tough questions and still managed first place.
