A SPREAD of picnic blankets, delicious food, great company and smooth sounds is what you will find at one of the Highway area’s most anticipated events.

On Sunday, June 25, the hugely popular Liberty Corporate Music at Makaranga returns, with Freshlyground taking to the stage for a one-day-only performance.

One of the most acclaimed and successful bands to emerge from South Africa in recent years, Freshlyground are a collective of musicians who blend the infectious kwela style and musical traditions from Zimbabwe and Mozambique with elements of pop, jazz, blues and indie rock, giving them a unique sound fans just can’t get enough of.

Best known for their popular songs including Doo Be Doo, Pot Belly and I’d Like, don’t miss this opportunity to make a date with Freshlyground, bring your friends, family and neighbours and get to Makaranga Garden Lodge in Kloof for a fun day out for everyone!

There will be fully stocked bars with all your favourite drinks, a wide range of some of South Africa’s best wines as well as tantalising food stalls.

Gates open at 12pm.

Tickets are now on sale at Computicket for R120 and children under the age of eight get in for free.

For all concert-goers, please note that no food or beverages, camping chairs or umbrellas are permitted, however, picnic blankets and cushions are more than welcome. - Supplied.
