THE Maritzburg College Aquatics Centre Parents’ Action Committee invites local businesses and the community to support its golf day fundraiser on March 23.

The golf day will be held at the Maritzburg Golf Club and all funds raised will go towards improvements at the school’s aquatics centre.

The cost per four-ball alliance is R2 400, which includes green fees and a halfway-house snack.

All players with a handicap of less than 24 are welcome and tee-off times will be booked on a first- come, first-serve basis.

There are various sponsorship opportunities available, including: green, tee box, practice green and registration table sponsorships, and the committee is also looking for donations of four-ball prizes.

In the lead up to the golf day, the Parents’ Action Committee is running a raffle. Tickets cost R20 each and the prize is a barrow of booze.

The raffle draw will be held at the golf day prize-giving event.

Maritzburg College has been an integral part of the city of Pietermaritzburg and education since 1863, and the Parents’ Action Committee hopes to be a part of this legacy by building upon these foundations and enhancing the facilities for pupils to enjoy for many more years to come.
