YOUNG gospel artist from KwaPata, Thobeka Hadebe, says she wants to bring change to people’s lives and become the gospel queen.Hadebe, who started singing when she was still a child, released her first single two weeks ago titled Uhambe nami (he travelled with me). She told Echo that this song serves as a testimony to her relationship with God, who has been with her since the beginning of her journey.“I always dreamt of being a professional gospel artist one day but I was so scared. I thought about the hard work that comes with it and the stress of finding a manager and getting a recording label, but God has been with me all the time and I am here today,” she said. Habede said before she started recording she used to sing at different ceremonies and at church conferences.“I grew up with music and I have always loved it. My mother loved singing and I think I took it from her. She would call me while I was busy playing with my friends outside and tell me to come inside the house because there is a new song that we need to practice.“When I got to primary school the teachers selected me to be in the school choir. I then started singing at church as well and that is where I think my talent blossomed because I would sing at the church conferences,” she said. She said she plans to record an album and use her music to heal people.“When I sing I do not only want people to only listen to my beautiful voice or a nice song that I am singing, but I want to bring change in their lives. I want to heal them and give them hope that with God everything is possible. “My dream is to travel around the country and international healing people with my music,” she said. Hadebe’s song is available at all digital platforms.
